COMPETITION #1 RESULTS - VIKERSUND, NOR

After a 2 day travel experience for the team, which included a 24 hour stop in Minneapolis because the Amsterdam airport closed down completely on Wednesday. Then an extra long stay in Amsterdam due to the fact that there were thousands of people stranded there from the previous day, we finally made it to Oslo amd then Vikersund at 8pm Friday evening.
The ladies were allowed an extra jump by the jury before the trial round due to our late arrival and troubles. Lindsey, Jessica and Alissa seemed rather well rested for 3 people that spent so much time on the road the previous 2 days.

The competition went pretty well, the conditions were very fair but the field was a little small. Most of the countries only brought 3 ahtletes and the Norwegian contingent is a little small for being the host country, and that made the total number of jumpers 21. Monika Pogladic fell in official training and did not compete because of a back injury.

Competition tomorrow morning again. Hoefully the ladies run as well auto-pilot tomorrow.
